WELCOME TO AMOEBA CENTRAL!

Not a lot of people know this, but we had a webpage back in 1997. It was a Geocities page, but we thought we were sooooooo professional for having one. Unfortunately, the domain we used to alias is no longer available, so we launched this one instead.

Anywho, it's good to be back on the interwebs with something other than a Bookface page, though we still have that, too.
Regardless, here is your source for news. We'll be honest, it won't update much. We all live miles apart and have no plans to play live in the near future.

BUT, we do have some exciting recording projects in the works, and there will be updates to this here page occasionally so check here to learn about that stuff.
Or, better yet,

"FAST CAR", OLD AND IMPROVED

One of the more successful songs from our first album, Not Quite Human, was "Fast Car". However, like all of NQH, the sound quality was poor due to the fact that it was recorded at home using consumer grade technology.
But, here in 2025, we have professional grade tech available to the average consumer via computers, so we used a stem separation program to "unmix" this song and reconstruct it in the hopes of improving the sound quality.
And, for the most part, it worked.
Since this is technology and not magic, we are still hindered by the lo-fi nature of the original tape. There is only so much polishing we can do, and it will never sound as pristine as our modern work. But, for the first time in over three decades, it can be heard with minimal tape noise and with a more natural stereo mix.

And you can download it for free in the window above!
As always, thanks for your support, and
