After recording "Towel", The Amoebas refined their focus as a band. Playing gigs regularly in and around Boston, tracking multiple demos, and adding Jamie to the lineup, they were ready for success.
Unfortunately, life intervened.

Jobs, apathy, and Chris' escalating drinking problem all took their toll, and the inconsistency of funds to pay for studio time dragged out the process of making this album to nine months of sessions done in fits and starts. By the time it was over, Jamie had quit and started a new band, and Mike was noticeably disinterested. Chris ended up quitting the band once the mixing process was done, effectively ending the whole project. Aaron did eventually print up a few copies, and he and Chris were able to rekindle their friendship, but the making of this record was quite fraught.
