Robbie’s Guitars:
1978 Guild S60-D

Used live for Robbie's short tenure in the band, as well as on the recording of "Postapocalyptic" where he added another layer of guitar to the din. It was eventually co-opted into Chris' collection, as mentioned in the entry on his page. It ended up being catastrophically damaged in a fire, and was set aside for a future restoration.
After more than two decades of sitting, Chris finally brought it back to life in spring of 2023. A complete refinishing was required, including a custom made silk screen for the headstock logo, as well as an entirely new electrical harness (though with the original pickups) and a mix of original and replacement hardware.

A shot of how it looked pre-restoration.

1980 Aria LV10

A budget acoustic, this guitar was used by Chris on "Shadow" and by Paul on "Matter". Robbie never used it in The Amoebas, despite owning it.
He later modded this guitar for Hawaiian lap style playing, and it fell into disrepair. Like Chris' twelve-string Aria, it has been returned to playable shape with the addition of a JLR Bridge Doctor. This is a device that corrects a collapsed top , which is a fairly common problem for neglected acoustic guitars.

Mid 80s Aria Pro II The Cat (similar model pictured)

Borrowed from Chris' friend Jason, Robbie used this for the whammy bar dive bombs he added to "Before" which cannot be clearly heard on the final mix.

Robbie’s Amp:
Peavey Rage

Used by Robbie on "Before" and "Postapocalyptic" and by Chris for "Coat Rack", these are one of those amps that pretty much every guitar player in the 80s owned at some point. Nothing gives that "toilet paper tube" sound like a Peavey with the really pointy logo.

Robbie's Effects:

Crybaby Wah
The only effect he actually owned. Probably the reason why Chris bought one.
Dunlop JH-1 Fuzz
Borrowed from Chris' friend Matt and eventually added to Chris' second board, this was employed solely because the Peavey Rage didn't have a footswitch option, and the ability to do the LOUD/quiet thing is pretty important in grunge music.
Strings and picks:
No preference for brand, but 10-46 electric and 13-56 acoustic
MacPherson .60mm Studio Design
