Todd's Basses:
1992 Mexican Fender Precision Bass

As mentioned on Paul's page, this is the bass heard on Narcissism. When Todd joined the band, it was used to play several of the same songs.
There is something about the Fender P Bass, and this one had a special magic to it. Despite the rather pedestrian appearance of a rosewood fretboard and candy apple red paint job, it had that "perfect tone" that so many people are looking for when they play a P Bass.
1973 Fender Precision Bass

Visually distinguishable from the Mexican model by the maple fretboard, this was Todd's backup. He was unaware that a previous owner had installed Bartolini active pickups in it, a discovery Chris made when investigating the circuit to see why it didn't sound right. A fresh battery made a world of difference.
Even though it was technically a better instrument, it didn't have the sound of the Mexican one, so it was relegated to duty as a spare.
Todd's Amp:
Gallien Krueger 400RB and Ampeg 1510HE

Todd specifically chose this GK amp due to Flea’s use of them. The 400RB is a 280 watt head, with a very flexible EQ and a lot of punch. His was plugged into an Ampeg 1510HE, a cabinet loaded with a 15” speaker, a 10” speaker, and a horn. Overall, it was a great sounding rig, especially with a P Bass plugged into it.
Todd’s Effect:
DOD FX72 Bass Flanger [similar model pictured]

Even though this was Todd’s pedal, he didn’t really use it in The Amoebas. Most of the songs Paul used it for were ones that he either sang lead on or contained some of his more ambitious parts so they were retired with his departure. As a result, Todd didn’t really need to use it, so…he didn’t.
